英語でショッピング：サイズ、価格、返品、カード支払い

ショッピングは、単に“How much is this?”だけではありません。サイズを見つけたり、プロモーションを理解したり、店員のアシストを断ったり、カードの通貨を選択したり、後で返品したりする必要があるかもしれません。

ブラウジングと助言の依頼

店員が “Can I help you?” と聞いたとき、以下のように答えることができます：

• “I’m just looking, thanks.”
• “Yes, I’m looking for a lightweight rain jacket.”
• “Do you sell phone chargers?”
• “Where can I find travel adapters?”
• “Do you have anything similar to this?”

“I’m just looking” はフレンドリーで普通の応答です。購入を約束するものではありません。

サイズ、色、試着

• “Do you have this in a smaller size?”
• “Does this come in black?”
• “Could I try this on?”
• “Where are the fitting rooms?”
• “It’s a little tight around the shoulders.”
• “The size is right, but I’d prefer a different colour.”

服のサイズは国やブランドによって異なります。購入が重要な場合は、測定を尋ねてください： “What is the waist measurement for this size?”

価格とプロモーション

• “How much is this?”
• “Is this the final price?”
• “Is there a discount if I buy two?”
• “Is this included in the sale?”
• “What does ‘buy one, get one half price’ mean?”
• “Could you check the price, please? The shelf label was different.”

receipt は購入を記録します。 refund はお金を返します。 exchange はアイテムを別のアイテムと交換します。

自然な店内会話

店員: Let me know if you need any help.

お客様: Thanks. Do you have this shirt in a medium?

店員: Let me check. We have a medium in blue, but not in green.

お客様: Could I try the blue one on?

店員: Of course. The fitting rooms are at the back.

お客様: It fits well. I’ll take it. Can I pay by card?

店員: Yes. Would you like a bag?

カード支払い

• “Can I pay contactless?”
• “Do you accept this card?”
• “The card reader says the payment was declined.”
• “Could I try another card?”
• “Could I have a receipt, please?”
• “Can you email the receipt?”

一部の端末では、自国通貨での請求を提供します。これはダイナミック・カレンシー・コンバージョンと呼ばれます。画面には選択肢と為替レートが表示されます。選択する前に読んでください。地元通貨を希望する場合は、 “Please charge me in local currency.” と言います。

免税ショッピング

訪問者が税額控除を申請できる場合、以下のように尋ねます：

• “Is tax-free shopping available?”
• “What is the minimum purchase?”
• “Could I have the tax-free form?”
• “Do I need to show my passport?”
• “Where do I validate this at the airport?”

対象者と手続きは異なります。レシートを保管し、商品が未使用のまま検査される必要があるかどうかを尋ねます。

購入前に返品ポリシーを確認してください。 “Final sale” は、通常、商品が不良でない限り返品を受け付けないことを意味します。
